and some more visitors...

Kikiwa's awesome friends Matt and Marianne were over from Wellington on Labour Weekend as well, they spent most of it doing the Tour de Tasman, but we were lucky enough to have them stay with us for a bit too.  They even baby sat on the sidelines of our touch run around which was great, poor Atarangi usualy has to either hang around in the pram or in the sling while its all going on. Matt also kindly put some boxing up for our new path. legend :)

Party with the Aunties

Kikiwa's friend Erina had a play in the Arts Festival called Party with the Aunties, and while she was in town another friend, Rina, came down from Auckland to have a catch up with them both. Kirsty and I went to the play one night and loved it. Atarangi just loved all the attention!

showing off the new standing skills

while we had all the visitors Atarangi was perfecting her pulling up and standing, and sitting skills! Saturday morning nap time was actually standing in the cot time, and the first day she sat herself up. very cool!

A giggle of girls

Jacqui, Ginette, Gitika and Myregel flew down for the weekend. Atarangi loved the noise and attention. Nelson put on a rainy day for them on Saturday so the markets were out, we went to Kush instead, Gitika almost started world war III when they forgot her hot chocolate order, tried to tell her she hadn't ordered it or paid for it and would have to do so, then brought over a free one anyway??? craziness. so unfortunately one of our favourite little coffee houses didn't live up to our expectations.
The girls took me out for birthday dinner to Harrys with a few Nelson girls, Kirsty and Dan, while Dad and Atarangi stayed home.  The girls flew home again on Sunday after feeding the ducks and eels at the park, watching a dog catch some eels, and then some kids come and try and catch some for their dinner... ew. Thanks for coming my friends, we had a great time! xoxoxo

Looks like I got a rain drop on the camera lense! stink.

I am pretty sure Ginette managed to sneak in a few cuddles, and Gitika even gave Atarangi a kiss at the airport, awwww Gitz. ;)

teeth

As we were leaving to go have lunch with Kirsty I ran into Amy and Sonja from coffee group, Sonja asked if Atarangi had any teeth yet, I replied that they had been coming up and down but weren't through yet.... then at lunch Kirsty spots two little white teethies sticking through some sore gums! Good spotting Kirst! Two teethies at once, good work Atarangi.

swinging

we went for a trip to the park and tried out the swings, Atarangi was more intent on watching the other kids than enjoying her swing so we ended up just sitting on the bench watching the havoc.

Nanny

Nana and PopPop flew out on Wednesday and Nanny Shingleton drove in with Aunty Del.... for a brief visit on the way down south to see their brother. They stopped in again on Saturday before catching the ferry home on Sunday. Atarangi was still a bit sick but definitely on the way up :)
